Weymouth Rotary Recognized for 100 years of service

I had the opportunity to join the Weymouth Rotary Club to celebrate their 100th anniversary. Pictured here with me is Teresa Tanner-Roth, who has been a member for over nine years. Thank you to her, and all the members for all their continued hard work!

The Club has over one hundred members who are committed to their participation in local service projects, organizations, and extending into the support of activities that take place throughout the world. The Rotary runs an annual blood donor drive, and have contributed to a wide variety of community organizations and needy causes, including the Weymouth Public Schools, Father Bill's, the Boy Scouts, the Pine Street Inn, Little League, the Weymouth Youth Office, the Weymouth Farm League, and Weymouth Junior Basketball just to name a few.

The motto of the Rotary Club is "service above self" which is reflected in the way that they give back to the community and bring people together who wish to create a change in the world, in their neighborhoods, and in themselves. Your presence in Weymouth and beyond is felt deeply and I'm very grateful for the example of leadership and commitment that your members demonstrate in their day to day actions Weymouth Rotary.
