The Veterans and Athletes United (VAU) Memorial has landed in Weymouth. The VAU Wall is a traveling public memorial honoring the fallen soldiers of the Global War on Terror and Gold Star families. Included on the wall are the names of the following local fallen soldiers:
Army 1st Lt. Timothy J. Steele of Duxbury
Died August 23, 2011 Serving during Operation Enduring Freedom
Marine Sgt. Andrew K. Farrar Jr. of Weymouth
Died January 28, 2005 Serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom
