We had a great reception at the South Shore SNAP annual cocktail party! The evening served as an opportunity to celebrate the kids, mentors, and supporters who have all come together over the past 15 months to ensure their important program offerings continued during the pandemic.
This event is one that I look forward to attending each year and I am proud to have participated in since becoming State Senator. Every summer, this event serves as a reminder of the important work SNAP carries out and the opportunities it provides to children and young adults with cognitive and physical disabilities. They’ve grown every year since their founding in 2014, and now offer programming in over 25 towns in Massachusetts.
SNAP fosters an environment that encourages kindness and teamwork, celebrates the unique strengths and abilities of all participants, and enriches the lives of their families. This approach is the catalyst to their growth and it’s why I advocated and secured $40,000 in the Senate Budget to support their operations.
Thank you again to everyone who attended and to SNAP for all you do!
