Just before budget week kicked off, I had the opportunity to join my colleagues in Scituate for the official dedication of the South Shore Irish Heritage Trail!
The idea for the trail began a few years ago through meetings of the Scituate Sister City West Cork Committee. The South Shore has an incredibly rich Irish Heritage, and the trail presents an opportunity to celebrate and educate the populace about Irish-American contributions to life throughout the South Shore.
