South Shore Habitat for Humanity Celebrates 35 Years

This morning, I had the opportunity to present South Shore Habitat for Humanity and Executive Director Beth Lyons a citation from the State Senate congratulating them on 35 years of providing affordable housing and support to families in need.
Over the years, South Shore Habitat has built 62 homes throughout the region and has always looked for ways to help even more families. The organization is hosting two events in the coming weeks that are great opportunities for the public to help support their mission:
• This Saturday, September 18th, 8AM-11:30AM is the Ride for Habitat at Wompatuck State Park. Ride, run, or walk through various trails and log 250 hours as a group in honor of the 250 hours it takes to build a new home.
• October 4th is South Shore Habitat for Humanity’s Annual Golf Tournament. Trade in a day at the office and tee-off to support the construction of affordable homes for local families in need.
More information on each of these events may be found at https://sshabitat.org/events. Thank you again to Habitat for Humanity for all you do!
