This morning, I was sworn-in to my fourth full-term in the Massachusetts State Senate. Thank you to the residents of the South Shore for this incredible privilege.
During the swearing in, I had the honor of addressing my colleagues. I spoke about how in Massachusetts we work together to solve problems, provide opportunity, and make people’s lives better.
In Massachusetts, we rise above that noise and choose to work in a bipartisan manner to address the challenges we face. This style of government is working and should be an example for other states. Last session alone, we cut taxes, addressed the mental health crisis, provided more education funding than ever before, and continued to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
As I travel the South Shore, I look forward to hearing your hopes, dreams, fears, struggles, ideas, and then taking those with me as I legislate on Beacon Hill as your State Senator.
I look forward to continuing to work on your behalf and provide you with representation that you deserve and can be proud of.
