Over the weekend, I joined with over 100 residents at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, Duxbury MA for a peace vigil for Ukraine. Together we remembered and prayed for the innocent men, women, and children whose lives have been lost and those who remain at risk in what is an unequivocally senseless war.
The developments in the region have been difficult to watch at times. However, through all of the chaos of the war, what has become clear is the strength and resolve of the Ukrainian people.
I am confident that when this war is over, that we will be there to help Ukraine rebuild and start anew. Let us continue to remember that we can make a difference, however small, in these times with our words and actions, and let us continue to pray for peace in Ukraine.
