This past December, both the Cohasset High School and Scituate High School football teams secured state championship wins in their Division at Gillette Stadium. Cohasset topped Wahconah Regional 27-12 for the Division 7 game, and Scituate topped Duxbury 14-13 in the Division 4 game.
Just last week, I was able to congratulate some of the players on each of these championship teams alongside my colleagues State Senator Walter F. Timilty and Joan Meschino, State Representative. It’s not often that two South Shore teams would share a banquet like this, however these players won a championship together four years ago when they played on the SciCoh Youth Football team in the Old Colony Youth Football League.
It was clear that all of these players share a special bond, and it was great to be able to offer our congratulations to them in person.
