Over the weekend, I had the chance to congratulate Norwell Troop 192’s newest Eagle Scouts – Robert Curtin, Jr., Andrew Horte, and Aidan Lyne! The best part of these ceremonies is always learning more about their individual journey to this point and the Eagle Scout Projects they pursued to achieve this rank.
Robert helped build a permanent paved walkway at the Norwell Town Common so those with mobility issues could more easily participate in local events; Andrew created a reference guide for family and friends visiting Norwell’s Washington St cemetery; and Aidan built small shelters and feeding stations for the Scituate Animal Shelter to assist them in their efforts to provide care to feral cats.
I know their family and friends are very proud of their work, and I know they’ll continue to make a positive difference in the community in the years ahead.
