Last week, I had the opportunity to welcome the 2021 MIAA Division 3 State Champion Norwell Boys & Girls Soccer teams to the State House to celebrate their respective victories.
Both teams won in dramatic fashion, with the girls team defeating Dedham 2-1 in a sudden death thriller and the boys team coming back from a two-goal deficit in the second half to defeat Belchertown in a penalty kick shootout. It’s not often that both teams win a championship in the same year, but it made for an event better round of applause in front of the Massachusetts Senate. Congratulations again!
