This week, Senator O'Connor had the chance to join Representative LaNatra’s office in honoring Duxbury Police Department Sergeant Andrew Homestead for his hard work and dedication to the South Shore Behavioral Health Collaborative.
The South Shore Behavioral Health Collaborative is a group of behavioral health providers, community outreach services, public safety officials, school psychologists, corrections, court officials, and other experts. Their goal is to bring behavioral health resources together to provide the best possible services to individuals by combining these coverage areas.
The group was formed by Sgt. Homestead three years ago after his experiences assisting local citizens who were going through a mental health crisis. This idea and his leadership have helped the South Shore community tremendously and we are thankful for his work.
