Thank you to the Hingham Historical Society and the Town of Hingham for another incredible Lincoln Day celebration!
For over four decades, Hingham has celebrated the local roots of two famous Lincoln’s: Benjamin Lincoln, Major General in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War, who was a life-long Hingham resident, and Abraham Lincoln, our 16th President, and a descendant of Samuel Lincoln, who settled in Hingham in 1637.
I look forward to this event every year and I appreciate the effort put in by so many to make today happen.
