After years of hard work and dedication, Cohasset celebrated the completion of Kate’s House – a brand new home for adults with disabilities.
The home is named after the late Housing Authority Executive Director Kate Luna. Kate was a staunch advocate and champion for those with disabilities and it’s only right that this home be named in her honor. I genuinely believe that this facility will become a model for the Commonwealth on how to best meet the housing needs of people with disabilities and will provide them with so many more opportunities.
I am proud to have partnered with Rep. Meschino to secure $180,000 in a previous state budget to move this initiative forward and am excited to support similar projects in the years ahead. Thank you to everyone who played a role in making yesterday possible – it just goes to show that the South Shore supports and cares about everyone in our community.
