Yesterday, I was visited by a fantastic group from the South Shore supporting the METCO, Inc. Headquarters program. METCO is a program that expands educational opportunities and increases diversity by permitting students from Boston to attend public schools in other communities that have agreed to participate.
Since 1968, Cohasset, Hingham, and Scituate have all participated in the program and collectively have 170 students enrolled in their schools through the METCO program. Thank you again to the group of South Shore educators and families who stopped by to say hello.
