MediaVue Systems of Hingham Honored at 6th Annual Manufacturing Award Ceremony

BOSTON, MA – MediaVue Systems of Hingham was recently selected as an honoree at the Commonwealth’s 6th Annual Manufacturing Awards Ceremony. Founded in 2008, the company produces a digital signage platform that includes digital media players, meeting room panels, and active network management software. This highly specialized equipment helps corporations and government organizations in more than 80 countries across the globe to drive high-impact digital signage, video walls, and messaging.

Senator Patrick O’Connor (R-Weymouth) recently toured MediaVue Systems and nominated them for the manufacturing award.

“This is a very special company right here on the South Shore,” said O’Connor. “Learning about how the company was founded by a father and son team, the manufacturing process of their products, and the support and logistics that go into being a company with global reach was a great experience. We’re very lucky to have MediaVue Systems ‘Making it in Massachusetts’ and they are very deserving of this recognition.”

Back in 2007, David DeGiorgi and his son Erik, fresh out of the Marine Corps., were looking for a way to reconnect. David had the rights to a fanless computer he developed at EAD while working with Dell, and they decided to see if they could turn the concept into a business. Nearly 15 years later, David is serving as the CEO and MediaVue finds itself working with some of the world’s largest and most prestigious companies, as well as with a significant number of government agencies.

“The business was ramping up, scoring some major successes, and adding head count just as the pandemic hit,” recounts MediaVue CEO David DeGiorgi. “Like many businesses, we had to hit the pause button, but now we’re coming back in a big way. We’re staffing up, introducing new products and services, refining our messaging, and forming tight working relationships with domestic and global partners. Today we’re dealing with something else – global supply chain shortages. But I’m confident about MediaVue’s growth going forward.”

“Digital Signage is a $21B dollar industry that’s driving fantastic technological advancements,” continues DeGiorgi. “We’re delighted to be a part of it.”

Today, technology made by MediaVue Systems can be seen all throughout the world – People can see digital displays powered by MediaVue right here in Massachusetts at Logan Airport and at the WGBH building; shoppers encounter MediaVue-powered video walls and product displays at malls and shopping centers in London, Paris, Dubai, and Riyadh; and the public sees MediaVue-powered displays in museums, aquariums, restaurants, and many other public spaces.

Formed in August 2014, the Manufacturing Legislative Caucus includes more than 60 legislators from around the Commonwealth. Lawmakers focus on training for manufacturing employees, encouraging innovation by helping start-ups access resources and expand apprenticeship opportunities in key manufacturing sectors. The Manufacturing Awards were formulated by the caucus as a way to promote the benefits of ‘making it’ in Massachusetts.

Senator Patrick O’Connor represents the Plymouth and Norfolk district, which includes the towns of Cohasset, Duxbury, Hingham, Hull, Marshfield, Norwell, Scituate, and Weymouth. Sen. O’Connor and his staff may be reached at the State House at 617-722-1646 or by email at Patrick.O’[email protected].
