Last night, William Henderson III, Past Commander and Quartermaster of the Hull VFW Post was posthumously recognized as the VFW Veteran of the Year for 2021-2022.
After returning to Hull from deployment in Vietnam, Commander Henderson did not hesitate on his new mission to help all veterans and their families in need. He carried out that new mission for 50 years. Whether it was a veteran who may have been homeless, in need of employment, or a veteran and their family needing support to readjust back into the community, he was ready at all hours to help.
It was an honor to present citations from the Governor’s Office and State Senate to Commander Henderson’s adult children to thank them for all their father has done for our veterans and their families.
